Hey hey, it's the first of MAY! I can't believe it really. I remember back in January when May seemed *SO FAR AWAY* ... it's like I blinked and somehow we warped here. And yet, we are so far from being "officially ready" for this baby (the baby's car seat is still sitting in a box in our garage) but at the same time I'm "so ready!" ifyouknowwhatimean. minus that whole car seat thing which we really need to get on...... I'm somewhere in between a healthy dose of excitement + fear for life with "two" and what that means in terms of grey hairs and wrinkles ;)Read More
Lately "crafs" have been all the rage around here. When I ask June what she wants to do when she gets up in the morning that's the first thing out of her mouth. I'm like, the least crafty person ever, but I admit to getting better since June has been interested in these sorts of things. I've been following some amazing mommy blogs who just pump out the best ideas.Read More
Yesterday I sat in the Fabricland parking lot with the car running for a few minutes trying to debate whether I'd go for the safe option: shopping at Walmart where there are shopping carts (and straps to contain your wild child) or Indigo, where there are the actual errands I needed to get done, but no magical child-restraining carts.Read More
Over Easter Weekend we popped in for a visit to the Memory Junction Railway Museum . I've been there before on account of it being one of *the* highlights to visit in my hometown, but this was June's first visit and I've found that things are just a whole new level when I'm doing it with her for the first time. She's the perfect age for it because trains, cars, "big trucks" are all the rage right now (if you have a toddler i'm sure you know what I'm talking about). I'm always surprised at what she'll spot out the window in the backseat of the car while we're driving around.Read More
It's Friday and I'm ignoring Braxton-Hicks contractions. I should probably do some essential things like pack a hospital bag and wash newborn clothes but I'm starting to make a quilt for the baby and another for big-sister instead.
